Hi!
I'm Tina Parker and I am a music teacher at a small Chicago Public School (Drake Elementary.) I heard about LCI through Nicole and Meriah. I work for Hands Together, Heart to Art camp during the summers. Can’t wait to meet you all. Good luck on the final 12 days of school! We’re almost done!

HI fellow ambassadors.
I am a dance teacher at Kipling School a CPS K-8 magnet cluster school. This is my 8th year of teaching. I am looking forward to a week of looking, listening, planning and sharing with you. Having heard about the Lincoln Institute for teachers I am excited to have this opportunity to be a participant.

LCI introduction
Hi Everyone!
My name is Natalie Davis and I've been teaching dance in the Chicago Public School system for the past 4 years! Before that, I was a classroom and science teacher in CPS, and have somehow found my calling for teaching dance, with the need in a Fine and Performing Arts Magnet Cluster School, and my dance background, it enabled me to become a fulltime dance teacher and i love it!
I teach K-8th grade, about 6 classes a day of all different styles of dance.
Last summer I went to the LABAN institute in London and studied contemporary dance (Jose Limon), pilates, and choreology. I also went to Ireland to study Irish Dance as I just completed a unit on Irish Dance with my 2-8 grade students. I teach yoga to autistic students, and love to practice on my own as well!
What I'd like to get out of the LCI workshop is fresh and new ideas for planning units and lessons when I teach next year. I'm also looking forward to meeting you~fellow dance educators and being able to take time to reflect on what I've learned from the workshops and talking with you (again, fellow dance educators!), and making connections between dance and other art forms so that I can develop lessons and use the material to the students that I teach. I'm eager to see the artistic venues around Kalamazoo affiliated with the LCI training/workshop and look forward to meeting everyone.
Best, Natalie
